The front crankshaft seal requires the Crankshaft Seal Replacer Kit, Part Number 4919704, for seal removal and installation.

• Use three of the damper mounting capscrews to secure the top plate, Part Number ST-1259-1 (from oil seal puller/installer, Part Number 4919704), to the front of the crankshaft.
• Install the drill pilot, Part Number 3375496, into one of the 1/4-inch holes in the top plate, Part Number ST-1259-1.

• Insert a Number 31 [0.120-inch] drill bit into the drill pilot, and drill a hole through the seal casing.
• Remove the drill pilot, and repeat the same procedure in the two remaining holes in top plate, Part Number ST-1259-1.

• Install three seal puller screws, Part Number ST-1259-6, into the plate. Tighten the screws until the shoulder on the screw contacts the seal casing.
• Remove the three damper mounting capscrews from the puller plate.

• Install the center puller screw in the plate. Continue to turn the center screw clockwise until the seal is removed from the gear cover.
