 CAUTION 

The water pump must have a dowel pin locating hole (2) and an oil cooler return passage (1). Engine damage can occur due to lack of coolant flow through the oil cooler if this oil cooler return passage does not exist.

Install the water transfer tube attached to the thermostat housing into the water pump.

Inspect the transfer tube o-ring. Replace if necessary.
SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Install the water pump to the block using the six mounting capscrews.

Tighten the capscrews to the following torque values:

Torque Value:
  1. 15 n.m    [133 in-lb]
  2. 30 n.m    [22 ft-lb]
  3. 47 n.m    [35 ft-lb]


SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Install the coolant inlet transfer connection and a new gasket onto the water pump.

Tighten the capscrews.

Torque Value:  47  n.m  [35 ft-lb]
