Variable speed (VS) speed adjusting screw has missing or damaged washers

Remove the jam nuts and locknuts. Install new copper washers. Refer to Procedure 005-056 in Section 5.

Throttle shaft is damaged

Check the o-rings, shaft, and housing bushings for damage. Refer to Procedure 005-038 in Section 5.
